Community Honors (WATCH)

The WATCH Mission

The Washington Area Theatre Community Honors (WATCH) is an organization founded for the adjudication and presentation of annual awards recognizing artistic and technical excellence in community theatre throughout the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area, and that these honors will:
Foster and encourage the growth of community theater;
Promote and enhance the image of community theater; and
Educate and inform the general public about the theatrical opportunities provided by the member theaters.

WATCH Awards

The awards were presented Sunday, March 2, 2008 - 7:00pm at the Birchmere.

Please direct any corrections, errors or comments using the feedback form.

Do you want to present an award at the ceremony?

Did you receive an award at the last ceremony?
Were you a nominee at the last ceremony?
Are you a past award recipient or nominee from previous years?
Are you a producer or stage manager of a play or musical that received an award for Outstanding Musical or Play?

If you can answer "yes" to any of the previous four questions,
then you are eligible to be selected as an award presenter at the ceremony.

The Eighth Annual WATCH Awards was very successful evening with a crowd of over 400 artists in attendance.
Next year, your company could be the proud sponsor of the biggest night of "Community Theatre."
