Snow

(The following message was posted on the website in light of the snow forecasted for the weekend of the ceremony, which luckily never materialized.)

What happens if it snows?

CURRENT INFORMATION

As of Saturday, March 3rd at 10:30 p.m., the WATCH Ceremony remains as scheduled for Sunday March 4th at 7:00 p.m. (doors opening at 5:00 p.m. for seating and dining).

The likelihood of postponing the awards ceremony is slim as storm predictions continue to move the snow  toward early Monday morning.  Currently the snow is not expected to begin in the D.C. area until after midnight on Sunday.

If this message is not changed before 4pm on Sunday, the event will continue as scheduled.

WHERE CAN I GET MORE INFORMATION ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT?

If the heavy snowfall forecast for the region becomes a reality, we will announce postponement plans on this page.

We also have a postponement hotline established for information as well.  (703) 803-9711

A determination on postponement will be made no later than 4:00 p.m. on Sunday March 4th.  Please check this site or call the hotline for information before you depart for the event.
